I see the British Embassy,in Yemen is to be closed for two days,in case it is attacked. How about sending Bill Hague over for the week end? his voice alone would scare the enemy...

Wow, I have attended many a fine function there, 1968/71, is this the one at Steamer Point?
So these terrorists theyre all terrified of only work at weekends then? Wow that's a relief ;/
Not just the British embassy I think there are quite a few closing for the weekend including the American - they probably know more than we do.
The US State Department’s spokeswoman, Marie Harf, said.

“It’s specifically August 4th. It is possible we may have additional days of closing as well.”

Hence the weekend closures.

I agree with you about Hague. He has that kind of voice that makes an Olympic athlete out of me, in the get-to-the-radio-as-soon-as-I-hear-his-voice, race. Although he may not have the same effect on foreigners of course.

It was nearly Prime Minister Hague a few years ago. Well, not really nearly I suppose.
I like William Hague. A politician who suffered from his early Tory Boy image he's now aged into respectability. As for the threats, I'd take the public statements with a pinch of salt.
