Ralph Macchio, the actor who played the original Karate Kid, is now the same age in real life, as the actor who played Mr Miyagi in the film.

Horrible...innit!

Is it, I'm not familiar with either actor.
Nor me.
I'd hazard a guess he doesn't look quite as old as Mr Miyagi did though!

CD

No he does not!

Another one I heard recently...

Remember in Back To The Future, the character played by Michael J Fox went back to 1955?

Well, 1955 is as far away from the time that film was released as we are now to the time that film was released.

So if it were remade today, the character would be going back to the early 80s.
Ralph Macchio is in the movie Hitchcock with Anthony Hopkins I believe.
Where are you getting all these from sp?

You setting the local pub quiz this week? LOL
I was feeling quite chipper this morning til I read this, cheers sp ;)
oh dear, and a programme i loved, called the Wonder Years with Fred Savage, he was cute, and now grown, he doesn't look the same at all, i had quite a shock when i saw his photo.
Ralph is 51, didn't time fly

Im more shocked that crafty and Jeza aint heard of them!

Ralph's not looking too shabby nowadays either.

he does look nice...
sp1814, your BTTF fact really is depressing.
also that Pat Morita died in 2005,
I've never heard of them either.
Just had a peep at Fred savage...still cute !
have you never seen The Karate Kid, it was a load of enjoyable tosh..
not when you compare him to his 10 year old self in The Wonder Years.
i didn't recognise him at all
If you've never said 'wax on....wax off' you're not 80s.
Ralph was also in a rather underrated film (for any blues fans) called Crossroads - although in this role he played a guitarst who wins it all in the face of adversity....hammer on hammer off....

I think I still have it on VHS somewhere in the house.

I think I have the guitar duel on mp3 - Steve Vai & Stevie Ray Vaughan. Awesome stuff!
