AGREED!
Couldn't agree more! They do have an explanation - but it's so unconvincing, I can't remember what it is.
the bbc thinks murray fans are too stupid to work out how to change channels
It is not too difficult to switch to BBC2 if you want to watch the news or the One Show is it?

I bet more people are interested in the Murray match.
So more people are interested...doesn't explain much...
the problem with keeping the tennis on bbc1 is that there's no facility for regional broadcasting on bbc2. this means that tonight there's no regional news. again.
coz Murray fans dont wanna miss a frame of excitement - so there ;)
It doesn't bother me but the BBC should have stopped this outdated practice of switching the coverage from one channel to another a long time ago.

I actually wanted to watch a very important news item on the local news
No chance of that
Look I don't have a problem with it being on
Just keep it on 2
Regional news is on now on BBC1
It's two weeks out of fity-two weeks - learn a little tolerance!
but they occasionally do the same thing with live football - the 1st half on one channel and then the 2nd half on the other channel
Why would anyone want to watch tennis ...

People....just watch regional ITV!

Lordy lordy.

Dave!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, dave, the game has no attractions...

Even as a tennis fan I do wish they'd stop changing what match was on which channel -- keeps switching all over the place. Never mind, at least the tennis was entertaining today.
I was looking for a particular tennis match on BBC sat. channels, they had 1 match on 5 different channels and the 1 that wanted on none.??????
I loathe the whole Wimbledon thing, and have no wish to watch it on any channel. It's about time the BBC had a dedicated sport channel so that those who wish to watch sport can do so, leaving the rest of us in peace. In fact thinking about it I hate the whole sport thing, including Formula 1 which isn't really a sport!
jomifl - you can watch whichever tennis match you like on here
