I'll be in the red team spoony:-)
When I was on afters at the pit I finished at about 21.00hrs and I always called into the local Tesco on the way home and if you timed it right you could get some fantastic bargains, they were practically giving stuff away.
I'll join you, even though blue is apparantly my colour. To be honest, I prefer purple.
carrust, how are you going to choose what to have for tea?

Already done tilly. Tonight I will be mainly eating chicken paprika with sweet potatoes, followed by allotment strawberries....yum
My local Co-op has terrible stock control, for which I am eternally grateful.

I bought a big pack of smoked salmon the other day for only 95p ! Took bagels, with Philidelphia and smoked salmon to work for days !

I have even had Jersey Royals for 50p, because they were past their "sell by" date. Never knew potatoes had a sell-by date !

Yes Mike the staff tend to be a bit thick:-)
oi! ^
LOL, he's dead.
My local Co-op had a sign up for Pepsi buy one get one free. When I got to the counter I was charged for both. I pointed to the sign and the cashier said "that finished two weeks ago"
Whether it was finished two weeks ago or no, they were obliged to sell you the two for the price of the one, as it was still advertised as so.
Apparently not Spoony according to the manager. I said then I don't wish to buy either. He went into then the till will be wrong etc. I just left.
You have a belligerent Co-op manager who has lost the shop a customer by arguing the toss. A recent visit to my local chemist produced the same, the chemist had to offer the item for the price on the shelf, and did so without quibble.
Around Christmas time a small case of lager was on offer in Asda for £7. At the till I was charged £10. I complained was given an immediate refund and £2 off my next shop. My advice. ALWAYS check your receipt while you are in the shop and not when you get home.
Good advice to one and all. And always say yes when asked if you want the till receipt: the Co-op always do ask.
