I suppose if theyre already wrecked he cant do any more damage, on the positive side though he can advise them on how to get involved in "illegal" wars that they have no business to be in, plus he can leave their economy in tatters if its not already.

He can also advise them on how to start a flood of uncontrolled immigration and they can then say goodbye to their identity.
The possibilities here are endless !

sounds like a great deal all round win win win..everyones a winner....oh hold on a minute

"Officially recognized by the EU as a "potential candidate country", Albania started negotiations on a Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA) in 2003. This was successfully agreed and signed on 12 June 2006, thus completing the first major step toward Albania's full membership in the EU"

""potential candidate country"" in other words, a country right for subjugation and dominance, theyre not fussy in eussr hq, anybody will do as long as they can rule them

another tatty country we'll have to fund

No they are not stupid they have everything to gain. Albania was the most backward poverty stricken communist country in the world. So they have nothing to lose. They are therefore on the same socialalist wavelength as Blair. He will get millions from the deal and they will get billions from the EU. Nothing stupid in that. The stupidity lies entirely with the EU including us for staying in the club.
I've read your post very carefully and decided that you aren't that keen on Tony Blair.
Ah...I remember ! Tony Blair..the man that so awful that he won three consecutive Elections for the Labour Party !
If you think the Bulgarians and Romanians are bad wait until Albania becomes an accession member and has access to the work market over here. Albanians run some of the most vicious Drugs and vice gangs in this country. Another hornets nest ready to explode in this ountry in the future.

Yes, that's him.

yeah , thats the one, the one whose three terms brought the country to its knees.
Oh him!! The one who turned me and several others of my acquaintance into Tory voters.
Well said baz - I agree with what you've said. Their gain our loss or it will be once yet another "poor" country comes ashore...
the one who encouraged, nay expected and got uncontrolled masses into Britain, the one who took us into an illegal war, the one who has an 8 property portfolio, family members of course, who's wife is off to start a private health care company with an American, can you beat that for socialism
Em, the boy done well. ;o)
not to mention who will advise the Albanians the best way to get here, as some good Greek friends of mine who rued the day they were allowed anywhere other than Albania, who set up drug cartels, and now the Greek authorities have seen the result.
so he has. The kicking Mrs T took when she died isn't anything compared with the havoc that man and his wretched government has heaped on this country, and all the while smiling like the Machiavellian crook that he is
There used to be a powerful rumour - don't blame me, I didn't start it, to the effect that the Chinese government used to use Albanians as spies. Chinese people would be given away by their faces, so they trained Albanians to look and behave like Europeans and get all sorts of information.
I have actually been to Albania, and I realise that the infrastructure there is in many cases very very backward. Opportunities for corruption exist everywhere. Need for investment is desperate - the roads, for instance, are mostly in a dreadful state. Imagine frequent potholes the size of a bath. Men are very dominant over women, there, too.
They do have plenty of potential holiday resort sites, but I'd never go there again.
We really should make the EU do some very serious thinking before letting a country like that be considered for membership. And, unusually for the EU, we should ponder the possiblity, just for once, of saying "no".
When was Blair on a socialist wavelength ?
Did he get a vision on the road to Damascus or something ?
Is it possible to admire both Blair and Thatcher?
