I would do the same as angelina without hesitation
absolutely.
I think she's very brave having gone through with the surgery. I'm not sure why the whole world needed to know about it though...?
This simple blood test can save lives.
Would do it in a heartbeat if I was shown to be at risk.
I think it might help others facing the same harsh decision
Anyone can be tested, if you're classed as at high risk/have strong family history.
Yes.
I applaud her, a lady amongst the most beautiful, who shares an experience which is harrowing is very brave. I would do it .
If it helps to reduce the chances then yes, I would.
Well, if it meant the potential between life and death, especially with children, I don't think I'd hesitate. I think it may help others feeling the same too so fair play to her for revealing it (similar to Catherine Zeta Jones being so honest about her bi-polar).

Yes, I would absolutely do the same thing. No hesitation.
@MadMen-maybe the whole world-or all women at least- should know. It brings to light choices and tests available to those at risk. That can't be a bad thing.
I would do it in a heartbeat, I've no sentimental attachment to my charlies.
I know someone who had this done when she was in her 20's, 3 years down the line she's never regretted it.................
Wouldn't hesitate.

My next question is: has anybody here done the test? Presumably those that have answered to my first question and said they'd do it, haven't done the test.
I'm debating on having the test but then not sure what that could lead to....

You'll only get the test if there is a history of breast cancer in under 50's in your family, well that's what was said on the news this morning.

But surely if you went private you could be tested? Angelina Jolie's Mum was 56 when she died. What I read this morning was her mother died of breast cancer so not sure which article is right.
