Annoying Mispronunciations Etc.

What annoys/infuriates you about the things people say? One that I hate is the almost universal "lonjeray" for "lingerie", which should be "lanjeree" (approx.). Not to mention "mischievIous for "mischievous" . . .

I mean some of them are legitimate, it's not the easiest in the world to pronounce, but sometimes they seem to overlook the first R so that the first syllable becomes "gay". At High school, this was a bit of a problem. Especially when a teacher said it during register once.
rabet - thank you so much!!! I always rant and rave at the television when someone (usually American) refers to 'lonjeraay' - no such word! And I'm also with you about the extra syllable in 'mischievous'.
I probably won't get any sympathy for whining about 'harrass', though. The accent should be on the first syllable, but since Frank Spencer things have gone downhill
