I have never seen so many blokes in hi vis coats and rigger boots in one place, it was hilarious, they all looked either puzzled, confused, scared, or desperate as they chose their cards. Not one of them complained about the prices though, unlike alot of the women, tut

Lol, I saw two workmen in Morrisons today, one went out holding a massive bouquet of roses over his shoulder! He looked quite a happy sort of bloke, I just thought for a moment 'I wish it could have been me he was giving them to'.

the other year when Valentine's day was on a Sunday, there was a queue of "desperate men " waiting for Asda to open at 11am , obviously had forgotten to buy in advance by 11.30 there wasnt a bunch of flowers left .

Mine was far brighter. He just bought a simple card saying "For you" and wrote his own message. He then bought me lots of nice things that are not traditional Valentiney stuff.

He gets massive brownie points and a special treat for supper.
