Shouldn't Cameron first take measures to attract back disillusioned true Tories, before trying to court the Ethnic Minority vote?

Diesel was born in New York City, the son of Delora, an astrologer
Diesel has Italian and African-American ancestry. He has described himself as "definitely a person of color, and stated that he is "of ambiguous ethnicity – Italian and a lot of other stuff.
Boris Johnson doesn't need to do this, Cameron isn't going anywhere any day soon, and it's unlikely that Johnson has his sights set on the job, at least for now.

But doesn't that make Vin bi-racial (ie. from two races - one black, and one white - I include Meditterean as white).

That's an interesting point actually...do people think of people from the Med as 'white'?

Still...it seems whatever the combination of backgrounds, mixed race people seem to have the leg up looks-wise.

...except Rio Ferdinand. But then you could argue that he doesn't really count because his mother is white and his father is a horse.
I thought that was the idea of the Labour party under Blair knowing that most of the underprivileged and black will vote for that party.

Cameron's true motives are now coming out...he just wants to get re-elected and his right wing voters wouldn't allow him to do this. He is also worried about the pensioner vote so they also hold an ace card.

Black, Mixed Race, bi-racial, half-c***e, it matters not.

British whites have often been described as 'Mongrels' so why not use that term?

Interesting link, aog. Do you agree with the author?

There might just be a difference between calling somebody a mongrel and saying that the British are a 'mongrel race' because we are descended from Norman French, Jutes, Danes etc and have a mixed heritage therefor !

You left out the Italians.
AOG, but they weren't Italians, but Romans, Italy as such is a relatively new country.
I heard Afriyie referred to as less of a stalking horse, more of a stumbling donkey.......
