Well here is another minority view. This site is primarily a 'Left-Wing' site with strong political correct liberal views, and anyone who does not agree with their views are generally labelled Racist, Fascist, etc. so it is not at all surprising at the answers you have received, But then this has already been highlighted by such comments to you as: "If you...

mida, why did you put (REAL) opinion? Is REAL the one you agree with but think is not the one that most people here have? You are seriously wrong if you think Vivkins 3 represents any but a very tiny minority.

And yes, I watch Fox News.
fred LOL

I too take perverse pleasure in watching Fox News occasionally

Their concept of a debate on a topic is to have two 'expert' guests who can both agree with the anchor's pre-existing opinion

what an obscenity!
I believe the first welfare cheques were issued under a Republican president but I could be wrong.

Their concept of a debate on a topic is to have two 'expert' guests who can both agree with the anchor's pre-existing opinion

I have noticed the same principle at work on AB occasionally.
If you have an opinion, then why ask for another one that you aren't going to accept?
Lol jno, me too!
We don't need a British Fox News. We have the Daily Mail. That Daily Mail online is the world's biggest online 'news' source is a little alarming. Americans reading it must think we're all closet racists who are terrified of Muslims, but fascinated by celebrities who have 'wardrobe malfunctions' and cellulite.

But then this has already been highlighted by such comments to you as:

"If you have an opinion, then why ask for another one that you aren't going to accept"

"If you genuinely wanted a view from abers, I wonder why you picked the minority view for your best answer"

"The OP is plainly no fan of Obama so not surprising that he chose the right-wing rant as Best Answer"

Then of course you have those who's views on Obama are fixed firmly because:

"he is easy on the eye", "Tall, dark and handsome too!"

"Because he asked Garth to sing at his inauguration and hopefully he will ask him again".

"I think he's just about the coolest politician ever".

So some really good solid reasons there then for voting him in to rule one of the most powerful nations of the World. ????????????????????

But to top it all off someone dared to mention Fox news, which immediately set the Daily Mail hate brigade on the warpath, with such comments as this:

"Americans reading it must think we're all closet racists who are terrified of Muslims".

Absolutely priceless.

Evidently, neither 'mid age alpha male' (good grief!) nor aog received the answers they wanted.

It must be annoying to have prejudices that so many other people refuse to affirm

but the dishonesty of the question is rather obvious when the lone minority opinion is selected from all the rest as 'best answer'
Excellent in most respects, a great statesman and a superb role model for our UK politicians: a "Diamond Geezer".
AOG, I'm not left wing, and I don't 'do' political correctness.
In comparison to Mit ? Wonderful !!

// i will bet that fox news is not there. //

Is your opinion of Obama , coloured by this 'news outfit '

I have access to fox news , but i wouldn't watch this biased channel , unless
i was forced at gunpoint
AOG. I see I am quoted directly by you as representative of the 'Daily Mail hate brigade'. That is a novel description of one who holds the opinion I expressed. A little intemperate of you, don't you think? Or do you always classify those with whom you happen to disagree as motivated by hatred, or as belonging to a hate brigade, and you are incapable of more moderate or reasoned objection?

I assume that, by the same or similar thinking , you classify me as one of the left wing. If so, few things about me could be further from the truth.
There is a lot of truth in NOX's post above and indeed AOG's. Obama is attractive here to our liberals and yes the OP picked the anti welfare rant as the top answer and I have a certain amount of sympathy with that, we are too welfare dependent and no doubt BO shares some of those tendencies. I do think we are too willing to give out free living to various neardowells but for me the main glaring issue that the US has, barely mentioned above, is it's lack of any civilized approach to health care. Now I don't agree with how "Obamacare" is proposed to work and he'll no doubt struggle to get it through but I think the intention is admirable. I am frankly amazed that the No1 nation in so many areas is still in the dark ages. and genearally wishes to remain so, when it comes to healthcare.

/// It must be annoying to have prejudices that so many other people refuse to affirm ///

It is only expected on this site that is why it is so entertaining.

But don't be mistaken into believing that the majority of views expressed on Answerbank are necessarily the views of the vast amount of other people.
We felt that the first BLACK president had to stand out as a GOOD president and move away from his colour, let his policies and attitude define him. Much in the way that the first female president will have to do. I think he has done a good job so far and was happy to learn of his victory and opportunity for a second term in office. Bush wasnt so popular in the UK, he did give us some laughs though?
What do you make of our PM and the coalition government in the UK?

Not in the least Fred, wasn't it you who entered your personal criticisms of the Daily Mail into the debate? I include the full text below, so that I cannot be accused of taking your criticisms out of context.

Hardly the words of a Daily Mail supporter, so I think my description of you as a representative of the 'Daily Mail Hate Brigade', is most befitting.

i reselected what i thought to be best answer mainly because

"Then of course you have those who's views on Obama are fixed firmly because:
"he is easy on the eye", "Tall, dark and handsome too!"
"Because he asked Garth to sing at his inauguration and hopefully he will ask him again".
"I think he's just about the coolest politician ever".
So some really good solid reasons there then for voting him in to rule one of the most powerful nations of the World?

my opinion is in agreement with this. that those who voted for him did it for shallow reasons and/or were just plain uninformed. i will not use the word dumb or idiot ....or fool because i would make many upset.......(oops) looks like it did it anyway. hehe. there are a couple of vids that i think sum it up nicely. LMAO....

and yes i am prejudiced.....against ANYONE who voted obama just so it is clear.
/// What do you make of our PM and the coalition government in the UK? ///

Or even the 13 years of New Labour, plus the present day opposition Labour party?
