/// The study claimed that lesbian, gay and bisexual (LGB) people are still 'relatively invisible' across the media. ///

/// The report commissioned by the broadcaster, which drew on audience surveys and nine 'LGB experts', concluded that all genres of programming should regularly feature non-heterosexual people, with news and drama currently the biggest problem
areas. ///

So if this materialises, will the presenter first introduce themselves by saying "Good Evening I am Jeremy your gay newscaster"?

Oh for goodness sake. Why should everyone be so overt about their sexuality, why should a little kid even be bothered?
The very fact that gay people have to 'out' themselves or be seen as underhanded for not doing so shows that things are not as advanced as people may like to think.
Heterosexual people aren't expected to announce their sexual preference.
no need if your graham norton or alan carr
I have no idea. I have no problem with gays being hired, even to present children's TV, but how this is supposed to "familiarise children with different sexualities" I don't know. Maybe they envisage And and Dec having a snog during Teletubbies or something.

Yes these two are so 'camp' and they use their sexuality to set themselves up as persons of comedy, so is this taking homosexuality serious?
who knows who is what? and why should we care. the two obvious i mentioned do make money out of overstating their sexuality and ,any more obvious ones on tv too numerous to mention
