In Chelsea people don't speak to or know their neighbours.
Not everyone who lives in a "posh" area is posh, or totally honest.

His neighbours may be some of the MPs and Lords who have been to prison lately for expense fraud, or people high up at the News of the World or other papers that have been hacking.

He may also have neighbours who are drug barons, arms smugglers, foreign despots, Russian oligarths, "dodgy" Arab rulers or deposed black African leaders.

So he may be one of the "better" people in the area !
They though "hello, hello he's back again".
lol douglas!
He tried hard to make friends- he went round saying "Do you wanna be in my gang,my gang, my gang..."
Considering he's been declared bankrupt twice, he seems to be doing alright for himself.
Will he still get royalties for all the classics wot he wrote?
Always thought he looked an oddball
Always wondered that Graham. Where does the money come from. He lives high on the hog so he must have some salted away somewhere.
>Will he still get royalties for all the classics wot he wrote?
I suppose so, but do you ever hear his records on the radio now?
Pity the hog starbuck
Leave him alone; all he wants to do is settle down and have kids.
Oh yes, that is a good 'un!!
When he moved into Chelsea, hadn't he just come back from being in prison in Thailand, or something ???
It's not really, but I'm in a facetious mood.
Given the neighbourhood he is living in its likely that he has a russian mafia boss on one side, an absentee UAE sheikh on the other, and an MP renting from another MP across the way, its not immediately obvious who lowers the tone of the neighbourhood the most....
Nor should the chances of finding them all in Bangkok at the same time be taken lightly.
I thought that when I saw him on the news
I also wondered if he moved in next door to me would I exchange greetings with him in the hall say

You'd be well advised not to accept any offers of babysitting from him.
