With some of our national papers soiling their reps with stories of phone tapping, hacking, collusion with the police, churnalism and so forth, isn't it a pleasure to see somrpething like this from the Norwich Evening News:

Even more impressive is that it's been there for three days without a substitute being posted (read the caption below the artist's impression).

It's not the report itself that makes this a classic piece of journalism - it's the comment under the artist's impression of the meteor.
Perhaps if you hadn't started off by having a go at the National Press, it may have been a little clearer, but wait a minute I still don't get the point, except that to date no one has emailed a real photo of the comet.

Is that news?

Yes - it's news in as much as it's about a piece of news...in a newspaper.

Also, I thought this from my original post would've made it clear as to what I was talking about:

"read the caption below the artist's impression"
Sp - what I would like to know, is how you happen to be on the Norwich Evening News website .
Can we stop all the Norfolk digs please! Are we allowed to feel that we're a picked upon minority and claim something from somewhere???
