I wonder if these racists will be traced and charged?

I suspect that many white men will also object to him dating a white woman.

That is their view, but to hold that view is not against the law so there is no reason to hunt anyone down as they cannot be charged with anything.
I admit to getting the Daily Mail every day, but I can't say that it is very reliable at all when it comes to reporting stories in an unbiased fashion.

Do you think that there is any topic that they could find a snippet of news about and not be able to twist it all out of shape? They should get a wooden spoon award for stirring up trouble.

You don't get stories like that in the Perthshire Advertiser. Last week we were told of the delay in a trial regarding the death of a pigeon.

;-)
Depends - are you comparing race laws in Jamaica with England, and thereby contrasting the treatment of (for example) people who scream racist abuse on packed tube trains with the people who wrote into the Jamaican Observer?

What about this remark Gromit, would that be legal?

/// ‘Out of all the girls on this island you pick a snowbunny’, ///
Legal where???
Online comments are mostly anonymous. 'Snowbuuny' is quite mild as offensive remarks go. Don't know if the term is or is considered racist in Jamica. Or if that is illegal there.
why should it matter to anyone, it's his choice. But it doesn't surprise me, had the same problem once upon a time.

Totally agree with fender62
Do you think they are racists who should be charged, aog ?
According to you anotheoldgit, a black person can be British but not be English and a white person born in Kingston can not be Jamaican so when it comes to racist comments, pot and kettle come to mind.
Seems racism is acceptable when its this way round!
Dont worry it wont last !
there is racism on all sides, take a look at communities, how well they mix, many don't, and that is because mummy and daddy may not want their child marry out of their race, colour, religion. I have seen both sides of the coin, called nasty names from both black and white people for daring to date someone not white. It is changing because i see more and more mixed race couples, and that can only be a good thing. But don't expect this attitude to change with some people, because it won't.
