John Major and PMQs

I just cant seem to recall John Major at PMQs. Was it not televised live during his term/s or was i too busy drinking to watch it on the telly??

Perhaps you just fell asleep during them. They weren't particularly riveting spectacles.

I don't think you did miss it, Dom Tuk, as I  think televising the PMQ was a Tony innovation, along with reducing them to once a week.  I understood John, sorry, Sir John to be quite a decent parliamentarian, who often outwitted Tony and the other MPs during question time.  Didn't Tony also do away with the unnecessary first question, too?

Yes they did televise PMQ's in Major's time, I remember many Major/Blair contests. In those days it was Tuesday and Thursday. Tony moved it to a Wednesday.

John Major's just been made Knight of the Garter by the Queen.  Just thought you'd like to know that.
That makes him 'Sir John'.
