not sure i understand the issue.

surely the stores can open between 10am and 6pm and if anyone misses out on these times then thats just tough titty ? there are always every other day of the week.

I'm guessing that directly after the closing ceremony the shops will be shut. Not such a big issue but with tens of thousands of potential customers looking to get that last minute memento as they leave the stadium it looks as though London trades people will miss out on some good sales.
