I travel all over the UK with my job and I hardly see it on tap anywhere.  Where are you from planetmartin?  I shall look out for it when I'm in the area.....
My guess is economics: you must make at least 1.80 per bottle of Becks (just over a half a pint) whereas you probably only make 1 per draught pint. If you were a landlord which would you sell? Shame, as I really like Becks...
It's not under licence to a UK brewery. They therefore only push their own products. It would  only be found in Free Houses which are not run by a particular brewery.

It's marketing, not economics. Scottish & Newcastle import Becks into the UK as a premium lager sold almost exclusively in bottles (thus enhancing its sale price and therefore perceived value). The same applies to Tiger beer. Contrary to popular belief, Cobra is sold draught outside of Indian restaurants (the Scream chains sells it.)

So to answer your question, S&N limit its draught supply to preserve the brand's upmarketness - in the sense if it is sold on ta, it would likely be in a plain glass, when sold in bottles it is in a branded container.

There is a chain of club/ bars called Squares and the one in Norwich always used to sell draft Becks, though I haven't been there for ages, maybe the other 'Squares' do as I have seen them elsewhere (Bristol and Reading).

They have it in The Blagrave Arms in Reading - I had a couple of cheeky ones in there tonight watching Chelsea lose to Liverpool, and mighty fine pints they were too!!  I guess its just where you go.....

I agree its a well tasty pint though...far better than Fosters, or god forbid, Black Label!
