Zzzzzzzz........
Liverpool FC have behaved pretty appalling during the Suarez saga. The FA report highlighted the inconsistancies the players evidence (they didn't believe him). After the United match, the referee asked for to come to his room to give his account of the incident but the club refused. Throughout, LFC have tried to downplay the racism charge.

That sent a wrong message to the Liverpool fans who now think it is acceptable to abuse any black player who goes to their ground.

Any sanction that Liverpool get over this latest incident will just add to their sense of grievance and feeling they are being picked on.

Considering Liverpool have such a large overseas following, the quicker they get their house in order the better.
well said Gromit... I totally agree.
That sent a wrong message to the Liverpool fans who now think it is acceptable to abuse any black player who goes to their ground

That comment is just about as insulting as the racist comment. Do you not think that Liverpool fans have minds of their own?
Are you purposely reading it wrong Zak?
Erm....no. The comment suggests that LFCs actions will somehow brainwash all of their fans into being racist. A somewhat sweeping and insulting comment.

how about this

"The comment suggests that LFCs actions will somehow brainwash all of their fans into being racist."

Only if you are determined to read it that way...
The only way to stamp out racism is to have more 'thought police'.

I was probably wrong in suggesting all Liverpool fans would get the wrong message. A suitable amendment might be...

That did not send the right message to Liverpool fans that abuse of any black player who goes to their ground is uacceptable.
Much better.
Another story about racism ....yawn. I'm sure there are worse crimes going on all around as like rape, murder, child abuse to name but a few but it seems like racism is now the worst crime in the world judging by how many people are jumping up and down about it.
There is a certain type of poster who thinks that these racism-related stories are a nonsense.........and they all have the same single thing in common.

I wonder what that is likely to be?
all Liverpool fans, jth?
Well of course all Liverpool players, all Liverpool ex-players and all Liverpool supporters are racist.

OR maybe one person in the crowd said something. If the player in question hadn't been black he would probably have been called a fat b*****d, or a Manc b****d or a baldy b*****d. People will always try to put the opposition off somehow. It obviously worked this time.
if it had being Kenny, then no-one would have understood a word he was saying.
would a white player make a deal of it if it was the other way round ?.....no of course not.

getting more and more pathetic.

theres far more important issues to be dealing with, its only a problem if you want it to be a problem.
"would a white player make a deal of it if it was the other way round ?.....no of course not."

The entire white race is making a big deal of something Diane Abbott said, or did you miss that?
