any ideas?

does this mean they will pursue me and harrass me on the phone?

thanks

If the DVLA has your phone number they will have passed it on when they sold your details.
That is harassment and therefore illegal.

Good luck.

Look in the Daily Telegraph/Honest John column for a proof letter to send to these sharks with a minimal amount enclosed. Seems to work pretty well for most people.

Hopefully you should find what you are looking for here .
One phone call is not harassment.
Ignore any letters and phone calls, They can't do anything legal but take it to the courts for a judge to go through it legaly. The only time you have to respond is to a actual Magistrates court letter. You can ignore any letters from the private car park companies They have to also have proof that you was the person who drove the car that day and not some one else and if some one else borrowed your car you don't have to give any details to them to whom did use your car. Only if they take you to court do you have to tell them who drove the car. the charge is made out for breaking a company's rules between the driver and the company, It's not the owner of the car if they wasn't the driver that day.The rules are not made up by the law, they are made up by the owner of the car park. Many people fall for paying up to avoid the hassle and that's how these companies make their money.
This is the first I've heard of this, I would be the mug who would have paid up. Thanks joko for posting this

I know that Athena have to pay the DVLA £2.50 (I think) for your details. That's how they get your address to send you the notice. I presume that maybe they will give out your phone number too. If not, Athena probably pay a small amount to 192.com which holds electoral register info. If they have a phone number for you....they will give it out. I hope this helps.
