Many of the limp wristed wish washy pinkos on this site advocate that we should listen to and appease the minorities so I think we shoudl go with them on this.

Lets give Sharia law a go whilst we try the scum that have descicated our streets. And let the Islamic Mullahs deal out the punishment.

There, two birds, one stone, sorted.

I dont think the scum will be stealing again, difficult to with no hands.

I don't know about that but I would advocate a lot harsher treatment than we give them now, too many slapped wrists about with not deterrent but not sure this country could take on Sharia law though it is tempting (said with tongue in cheek)
for heavens sake no, even though there are any number of Sharia courts in Britain, let us not go down that road.
since your opening gambit is using the term " limp wristed wish washy pinkos " this isn't a serious proposition. you just wanted to say " limp wristed wish washy pinkos " because you still believe (i'd assumed you were grown up?) that saying "limp wristed wish washy pinkos " is really hilarious, you know like when you said "limp wristed wish washy pinkos" at school and stuff or in sixth form. them "limp wristed wish washy pinkos" this, them "limp wristed wish washy pinkos" that.
If we did give Sharia law a trial run where would all the adulterers be lapidated?
AAAAhhhhhhhhhhh (loud scream).
Let ye who is without sin among ye cast the first stone. This might not be an exact quotation because I do not profess to be religious - in fact I am an atheist, but there is much good that can be learned from the bible and I remember this from my religious upbringing.
The laws we have been living by for centuries, with adjustments as necessary over the years, have served us well. What we really need is to strictly enforce those laws and take lawbreakers off the street until they decide to live by those laws.

Like religion, there is no system that is perfect, that is why there are so many. The secret of being a successful civilised society is for everyone to agree (or be forced) to live by the same set of rules.

Seems to me politicians and courts and prisons have forgot about the basics. Prison is not going to change a career criminal or lazy individual who refuses to work for a living; but, it will keep them off the streets

I wonder if we would have had so many people available to riot if we had built sufficient prisons to ensure all sentences were served to completion?

Old Salt
so once established how do we stop it, that means we all live under it, and if you are suggesting that women should be stoned to death for adultery, and men decapitated or hanged for being homosexual, then you need a reality check.
"Lets give Sharia law a go"

Oh the irony :-)
Agreed,

The public flogging of City Bankers would be a great boost to morale of the nation. They after all have looted the nation's coffers to a greater degree than the braindead amateurs in Tottenham and Manchester.

Not to mention inventing new words like "descicated", which I take to mean something like "remove all the moist holiness from" something. Ingenious.
lol
I wish someone would descicate our streets today, it's pi55ing it down.
Troll thread is it ?

No of course we shouldn't, we have a system already, if it needs to evolve then talk to your local MP.
old geezer What if your local MP is a Lib/Dem or worse still Kenneth Clarke ?
Rather a waste of time don't you think ?
No: you and your fellow constituents voted them in as best choice, they are your chosen representative. But I understand you are allowed to contact other goernment members if you like. Try writing to the PM.
Why do you feel the need to be rude to people who choice a different political viewpoint from you?

Words and phrases like 'limp wristed' 'wishy washy' 'pinkos' make you sound like a slightly deranged American seve-star general who thinks there is a God, it's called Washington, and anyone who can't drop and give him twenty deserves to be flayed alive.

Because you are probably not an American, and almost certainly not in the militatary, it makes you sound like a cliche-ridden lump-headed fascist - a perception you might wish to address if you want your posts to be read and debated seriously.
As the iron curtain fell 20 years ago, the term 'pinkos' is rather archiaic and old fasionioned. It comes across as though you haven't learnt anything new since 1995.

Just like winding up the usual lefty love in we get on here.

Whenever do you pinko's respect my view, never. As I recall it the right-on liberal brigade started the name calling everytime they didnt like someone elses view. Thought I was talking on your level that's all.

As for pinko, the reds are still around mate. I acknowledge the right-on brigade are not full blown commies hence the shade - pink.
What the hell's a 'pinko' ???
I personally do respect your view, and only take issue with the way you express it.

I have never called you names.

I don't have a 'level' for you to talk on.
youngmb Which version of Sharia would you suggest ? There are several interpretations of it, as there are of the Koran and the Bible from which most laws are based. If we were to apply the Old Testament's ten commandments , it would be very close to Sharia, which is not surprising as Judism, Christianity and Islam are all based on the OT. They only differ from the time of Christ. So which version do you have in mind. That as practiced by the Taliban , Iran , Saudi Arabia or maybe Somalia now they have a novel approach.
