Ooh poor didums in their hoodies. Its their ooooman rights innit ? You can't touch me man. Anyway as we have all heard on the news the cells are all full up! What a farce. It is now time to get real. Bring in the army. Shower the brainless idiots with permanent red dye. Ship them all to Siberia. Leave them there. Ban all hoods. Get a strong reliable police force, ours is a complete joke. Enough namby pamby politicians coming back from their holidays (what a shame) and sitting in their offices having meetings. Enough is enough. If the yobs want to fight send them to Afghanistan. The Olympics ?? ha ha ha I can't wait for the fiasco next year. This country has finally gone to the dogs. Whatever happened to our green and pleasant land ?

Oh by gawd you're so right smurf, with much more to add to that. Prevention is definitely better than cure but we didn't DO any prevention and that's why we're at where we're at today! We have to stop giving in to youth and yobs, don't let them know we are a walk over, don't let them get the upper hand and make all parents responsible for their children and especially when they are doing wrong etc etc. Bring back our country and get rid of the scum and filth that are overtaking it.

Gromit I assume it's because the do-gooders out there will always bring that up as an answer to why people shouldn't be arrested, curtailed and just left to do what they want because they feel it's infringing their oooman rights if not. That's how I see it anyway..
But no one has said that, have they?

How can you prevent something when you have no way of knowing it will happen?

How can you hold parents responsible? Some yes, their offspring should have been at home, but many of the rioters would be 18 and above.

Get rid of scum and filth? To where exactly?
I find myself asking this a lot, but which bit don't you like: http://www.legislatio...ga/1998/42/schedule/1
AB Ed.

They have never read it. And it is probably wasted on them.

Too true trigger, agree absolutely. I was just answering Gromit's question not advocating that it was or should be applied in this case, as Ed said, no one has (as yet) mentioned it...bet some of the looters thought it though...
It's not the wording of the Act, but the way in which we allow it to be interpreted.

The French have the same EU legislation, but don't seem yo have our problems...
I don't think the looters are thinking. Sending messages to twitter by BBM expecting it not to be traced.

Please dont wag your finger on Skynews Commissioner of Met, looters will have nightmares - lol
Human rights I think, Triggs!
