Sqad - i cannot understand why you have taken AOG's thread into entirely another direction, apparently deciding to defend his seriously unpleasant inference, and to pick a fight with Jack at the same time.
I see no issue at all here - Jack is a gay woman, but a woman first and foremost, and as such, is entitled to common courtesy from AB users, as are we all. AOG has chosen to make an unpleasant inference based, as i read it, on her orientation, and you have apparently decided to add to it by apparently being deliberately obstrructive.
If courtesy required, any woman should be addressed as 'Madam', and her orientation, or the finer points of its epxressioin are an irrelavent side issue. To appear to need information in order to align your form of address to a stranger seems decidedly odd, at best, and patronisingly sexist at worst.
i suggest you drop this line of conversation now before reports to the Ed. start flying in.

Well, well, well, I cannot believe what a turmoil can be started by a perfectly innocent statement.
Knowing how careful one has to be with words in this PC world, in case they are taken completely out of context, I added the words (or whatever the appropriate term is).
Seems this wasn't protection enough to stop Andy-Hughes from jumping onto it, but I don't know what it had to do with him, since JTH didn't take offence until his words stirred things up.
Thank you Sqad for once again coming to my defence, even taking into account the threat by Andy-Hughes who apparently would wish to censor you also, but I am afraid both of us are losing the battle fought against such persons who continually find perverted pleasure from picking up on my every word to try and and weave into them their own twisted interpretations.
But enough is enough, I will no longer play their rather silly childish games, I will no longer try and explain my real words against the lies and accusations that they attach to them.
But what I will do, against their lies, insults, false accusations, and all their other forms of belittlement, I will continue to enjoy my time on AB and post on whatever subject I please, not on the ones they would only like me to post.

Not that it matters, but I don't think your explanation is genuine, but that is for me to think, and you to argue. i think you knew exactly what you were doing when you added your codicil, and if you now wish to adopt an expression of bemused innocence like a European footballer sything down an opponent, then do feel free.
I have no wish to 'censor' anyone, as you well know, I am a passionate defender of free speech and reasoned debate - but sqad's argument was getting more and more ludicrous as it went on - I think jack adopted the correct approach in simply being amused rather than upset.
I find no 'perverted pleasure' in 'picking up your every word' - really AOG you do have a somewhat inflated opinion of the effect of your words on me, or indeed anyone else on here.

He appears to have a great deal of 'dignity' on which he likes to stand (short man syndrome?) and is utterly oblivious to the ridicule and opprobrium heaped upon him, in equal measure, due to his increasingly hysterical pronouncements.
I had thought better of him if he had had the good grace to apologise for his excesses, and the fact that he has not speaks volumes.

I refuse to get drawn into another protracted battle with him - it dignifies neither of us, but i will not stand by and see any other AB'er attacked without challenging him, whether it 'disappoints' him or not.
