Sorry, but I can't draw either. If you asked me to do something similar, my attempt would be equally as rubbish.

As some comedian once said - so what if a footballer isn't smart - you don't go up to Steven Hawkins and ask him about his footballing skills.

Fair play that they have done something for charity.

What have you done this week for charity AOG?
In all honesty aog,is there any subject,in any daily paper that you do agree with.
What did you expect from these footballers.Perhaps you were looking for a yet undiscovered Van Goch or Renoir ?
They are sportsmen who whilst earning a maybe exorbitant wage,do not profess to being artists with a brush, only a football.
Regards dg
They're footballers not artists. Should we now expect them all to be proficient in the arts rather than just kicking a ball around?
mine always look like matchsticks, aog
they look like a van gogh or a lowry to me...if those ''artists'' sketches are worth millions then i reckon the footballers efforts are worth a few bob as well.....
well well well, I find myself in agreement with aog and disagreement with everyone else. I don't expect footballers to be Rembrandts, but it would be nice if it looked as if they'd spent more than 10 seconds apiece on their charitable endeavours. If someone runs a marathon for charity, you feel that your contribution in sponsoring them is matched by their contribution in doing the running. Here, you feel they're just having a laugh but expecting you to fork out for it. (The Guardian showed several more of them, all rubbish, but they don't seem to be online.)

I quite like the Rooney one, though.
Here's some drawings by Hitler up for auction http://www.monstersan...r-artwork-for-auction and they look better.

So we can confidently conclude that Premier League footballers are worse that Hitler (and he never dived for a penalty either)
the united players did better than hitler and napoleon

they won in moscow...........................
Presumably if they'd contributed an unmade bed and some of their dirty underwear, they'd all win Turner prizes.
Albert Camus was a half decent goalkeeper.
jno - I don't know how many times they get asked to do something similar to this, but I would presume that it will be a lot - scratch that, a hell of a lot.

Pretty much every friend, charity etc will be contacting them and saying "but it will only take a few minutes".

This will raise several thousand pounds - and in my opinion it wouldn't make any difference if they had spent 1 minutes of 20 minutes on it - the money raised would be the same. No one is buying it for their artistic ability.
you moan as much as i do, at least they're doing something for people less fortunate than themselves.

Whose idea was it?
Agree with mollykins on this one, it's for charity
I found it much more interesting to look at the images /signatures and look more about what they say about how the person sees themself It is also odd that some have extra details that are not footie relate. I am going to get my psychology and graphology books out and do a bit of amateur analysis..... didier Drogba manged to get his name in three times Is he really insecure and needs to remind us who he is or is he like a schoolgirl writing the name of the boy she fancies over and over again in her exercise book...
some of them weren't that bad considering that they only had those chunky marker pens to do it with.
And some of them were at least on a par with a Rolferoo
