The number of robberies involving firearms climbed 10% last year and there was a general increase in gun crime, according to new figures. Handguns were used in the majority of the incidents. The government has been accused of 'losing control' of the situation.
How do you feel about the news that gun crimes are increasing? Do you feel that Britain has become a less safe place to live, as the figures suggest?

Certain parts of inner cities are now 'No-Go' areas, This goverment, regardless of 'Tough on Crime. Tough on the causes of Crime', has allowed it to happen.

Tough justice is whats needed, but unfortunately we won't see it, under the present leadership of any of the parties.
It was the present government that provided the tough leadership on Guns in the first place

Remind me which government banned hand guns in the first place

Also there is:

A new minimum five-year sentence for people convicted of possessing an illegal firearm

Now an offence to possess an air weapon or imitation firearm in public without legal authority or reasonable excuse

Increase the age limit for possession of air rifles to 17
prohibited certain air weapons that are easily converted to fire live ammunition

Tony Martin was hailed as a right wing hero for shooting a burglar in the back with an illegal weapon and the same people now have the cheek to go on about gun crime???!!!

i do feel that britain has become a less safe place to live in, where i live now there are no go areas which were not there years ago.
I will not contribute my thoughts to this corporate / sponsored question.
