More sloppy lazy decisions from Boris, or should I now be looking at the decisions Chris Witty and Sir Patrick Vallance are making.

On the TV news this morning, we are the only country in the world who decided to stretch the second dose of the vaccine to 12 weeks. Here we are yet again thinking we can go against what everyone else is doing, not what it says on the tin, 3 weeks between the first dose.

The WHO and the BMA are saying if you do stretch it out, no more than 6 weeks, even then they can't be sure its right, so why not stick to what the rest of the world is doing 3 weeks.
How many more times does Boris need to be hit over the head with a sledge hammer before he gets any message RIGHT?. Its not difficult to follow the instruction that comes with the medication, play about with it and your asking for trouble, and thats just what were getting big time. Unless people get their second one, all the first ones could become void .

If Boris had two and half Lts of paint and it told you on the tin to add 10% water, he would more than likely add 10 Lts of water so he could paint more rooms, with shocking results. This bloke is off his trolly for sure.

Vallance and Whitty seem to think they know better than the rest of the world, ( like many times before) and have obviously not been in touch with either Pfizer or WHO before making this decision.
TC, did you payu attention the link I posted.
are the government still advocating a "mix n match" policy (where your 2nd dose won't necessarily be the same as your first), or has that been dropped now?
surely using rough figures to illustrate you can see that its better to get 20 million vaccinated at 90% than 10 million at 95%. Its hard for some to acknowlidge when we'er doing well for once at something. Whatever past mistakes have been made by UK (and other countries across the world as its a new situation with no instructions on the tin for anyone) we'er doing really well here on vaccinnes.

mushroom, the goverment has never advocated a mix and match. Fake news. Someone said as a last resort we needed a contingancy plan if we ran out of one and we might consider it rather than leave people without a second jab but am sure it would be trialed first anyway.

Bobbinwales you're figures are really rough.
Okay give us better ones teacake

See the news bobbs it not hidden anywhere. A full dose of antibiotics work, half a dose DON'T.
TC.We are not talking about antibiotics,A vaccine has nothing to do with antibiotics.

\\webbo thanks for the link. We were told that the hold up to the Pfizer vaccines in the UK was down to alterations at their production plant, to enable them to up their production. It don't make any sense to muck up the present production right in the middle of a critical stage.
I'm sure the government would have been more than happy to help fund a new plant, without disrupting the present production??//

But you haven't answered my reply as to how badly the EU are doing compared to us.
Question Author
You don't catch on very quick danny, What I'm saying is you don't muck about with (any) medication unless you want your fingers burnt. And I for one won't be letting Boris decide what go's in my arm for sure.
TC, you are going off the subject,We are discussing vaccinations,
You still haven't replied to my link above.
Question Author
webbo you are also missing the point!! we are on about the second dose here in the UK, not how many goals we've been able to score compared to the EU
Question Author
danny there's nothing in that link that I don't already know, or alter my OP.
teacake "Question Author See the news bobbs it not hidden anywhere. A full dose of antibiotics work, half a dose DON'T."

are you SURE about that? https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5233409/
TC//And I for one won't be letting Boris decide what go's in my arm//
So you are going to refuse a vaccination?
Question Author
Woof if one is instructed to take less, like five times, opposed to 10 times then I would follow those new instructions, not ignore them. Thks for the link interesting
TC, are the WHO and BMA wrong to suggest no more than a six-week gap since that is longer than a three-week gap?

From your very own post
