Anyone know what's happened to the Christmas tree in Auckland?

The copter seemed to be landing in an incredibly tight space
awaful footage - how brilliant that the guys were on board so quickly to effect a rescue - very brave

Everyone seemed to move quickly to the rescue without a thought for their own safety.
The trouble with helis is they do seem to drop like a stone when something goes wrong. I`m surprised the pilot wasn`t wearing his harness.

The sound is so eerie.
I remember there was a horrible crash (I think it was in New York) and a news crew were filming. They were all killed but the camera carried on recording. The footage was retrieved and broadcast. That was a horrible, eerie noise as well.

I don't know statistics for helicopter crashes, but I would imagine there are usually fatalities, especially when the accident happens in such a populated area.
My OH flies 747s for a living and he says he`d never, ever go in a helicopter. Big wuss.
