Name this New Zealand based band - sound similar to MGMT

Sometime in November/December 2010 I heard a song a couple of times on Radio 1 in the UK. Unfortunately I didn't get the artist/song title details. I *think* the band were from Auckland, New Zealand and the song reminded me a little of MGMT (specifically Time To Pretend). If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Empire of the Sun sound a bit like MGMT - but they are Australian.

I don't know what MGMT sound like so I may be off track here, but is it Temper Trap (sweet disposition), although they are Australian?

Could it be Pig Out? They are from Auckland but are quite "way out" music. They have released a few albums but haven't heard them played over here. They are very popular with young people over in NZ.
