What chart topping band entered the record books in 2008 with a long winded rant about TV talent shows? This is a question from our intranet quiz at work. I have been trying (in between work hours) to find an answer. Would love some help please.

I don't know if it is about TV talent shows or not, but my suggestion is; Rockstar by Nickelback ? If it is wrong, hey, I gave it a shot!

Thanks for helping. Someone at work thinks it is the Beatles???? I really cannot see how that can be. Will add your suggestion to my colleagues and do 'eeney meeney' before submitting.
