Oasis, the most overrated band ever - Discuss

They worshipped The Beatles but never even came close to them, in my opinion. One great album does not make a great band. And those brothers behaved like a couple of wallies. Okay, I'm braced for the backlash now...

Agree with you. I remember in the 90's how the Blur supporters and the Oasis supporters were in combat. Good old Blur. I never liked Oasis, except for the one good song, the title I can never remember - Sally and all that!!

I love the Beatles and I thought Oasis were very good they had two great albums Definitely Maybe and (What's the Story) Morning Glory?

Music is in the ear of the beholder.

Overrated to me U2 - The Clash - Bruce Spingsteen all have done great songs but thier total works just don't stand up.

I hate New Order one song band unless you count Joy Division in which case the are a two song band.

China I adore Radiohead - always have, always will. Tom Yorke is a musical genius and I love his voice.

Whilst I am no fan of the Gallagher Brothers as people, I think they made some outstanding music.

I agree with snags that Coldplay are way overrated.

The most underrated band ever in my opinion is The Cocteau Twins. Liz Frazer, what a beautiful voice,even though it is almost impossible to understand what she is singing.
