Which UK pop band formed in the late 1970's and still around today, albeit with many different performers, requires the announcer to say the same word three consecutive times when introducing them?

Is it Wet Wet Wet ?
Don't think they were around in the 70s.
They started in the early 80s (but the quiz question may be wrong)

Showaddywaddy...err... waddy?

(Saw them last month - what a story there is to tell there... but it's more fit for chatterbank).
so far this isn't as 'interesting' as the question title suggested
It shouldn't be Showaddywaddy because that only requires the pronuciation of the 'waddy' part twice.

So - can you put us out of our misery please?
Ladies and gentlemen, may I introduce The "The The".
I'll be impressed if you are right!
I would also say The The
Here we go again. This quiz only arrived on Saturday and as per usual you are asking questions from Great Brain Quiz which doesn't close until 9th July. Please try and get the answers yourself and not be spoonfed them each month.
Well what a devious post, to make it sound like you had a bit of trivia. I think that's mean and once again I have been duped into answering , what a dope I am. Well I hope its wrong.
mamyalynne - you weren't to know. FYI 'detective' asks questions from the quiz every month - under 'interesting trivia' and such like.
Well now I am forewarned, and he isn't much of a detective either.
I looked for the answer to this and one weeks ago about a Crime TV programme. They are difficult to solve on-line and it gets addictive.

Where do the quizzes come from and are the answers available on-line?
www.greatbrainquiz.co.uk. No, sorry, the answers aren't on line. For those who submit an answer sheet, they get the answers through the post.
NO - I meant are the solutions to the questions findable on-line. I like finding things but I have a very bad memory.

Thanks for the link.
What about, "Here is 10 CC see" ;-)
Mind you, as long as the person just says "I don't know the answer to this" it's okay for them to ask quiz etc questions isn't it? I mean, the site is called ANSWER Bank!
Joolee of course you are correct, I cannot argue with that. I do not do this quiz but it seems the setter asks people not to use sites such as this, so I guess its a trust thing. What I most object to are questions that masquerade as something else , the above indicates that detective is going to supply some trivia.

If the heading had said "Great Brain Quiz" can you help, then that would have been more honest.
