Hi,

House of flying daggers has been released in the UK (Boxing day 2004) it had a great trailer with it mostly shown on channel 4 (I think its still being shown, but those who haven't seen it, or want a hard copy on their computer, it can be downloaded from:)

What I would like to know is what is the background music called? I've been researching it but with no results, so anyone with any suggestions please let me know.

Thanks!

Its actually the soundtrack from Gladiator by Hans Zimmer. Every now and again they seem to use old, existing soundtracks to advertise new films and quite honestly it makes me think why couldn't they be bothered to put original music to the new film?! Another mystery which I might just put to the answerbank kingdom! It is a beautiful piece of music nevertheless.Hope this helps!

Heddsy - It's not a case of not being "bothered to put original music to the new film". Soundtracks are often one of the last part of a movie to be completed, so the editors who create the trailers at a much earlier point in production use music from other sources - often other films.

The advert on tv that I saw used the Prodigy's 'Medusa's Path' from the album 'Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned'
