Paper shredding machines

Do you know if councils have paper shredding machines where you can tip all your old bank statements etc instead of feeding them individually through a home shreddar? I shred anything that has my name and address on before I put it in the recycle bin, but it takes forever.

Panic Button

Not that I am aware of.

Why not put your shredder somewhere handy, and shred as you go. Don't leave it to build up, as that is what takes the time.

Either that or save it up in a bag, and offer some nephew, grandchild or friend's sprog some pocket money to do it. In my experience kids love shredding.
