I love them. My favourite is 'The Music Man' - very underrated. Brian Conley was starring in a production at Chichester Festival last year. I would love to have gone, but just couldn't get, for one reason or another. I reckon he'd have been a great Harold Hill.

I prefer something from a little earlier - nineteenth-century/twentieth century pre-WW1 operettas & musical plays. Offenbach in particular, also G & S, Sidney Jones and Lionel Monkton. Catchy tunes, good music and happy endings.
