Have you ever waited years to get revenge ?

My wife worked in WH Smiths once.
She got a dressing down from the manager , because she used her discount card to purchase a couple of £35 computer books for myself and work mate. They found out one was for a workmate and she got a dressing down for miss use of the card.

So 3 years later , I noticed on a visit to Smiths , they were selling Windows 98 PC's and none were locked out. So I by mistake blew away all the required boot files and rebooted them (5 in total) ...
10 minutes later some stressed staff and no working pc's ...
If that lost them one sale day , it was worth it :-)

1980's ...early 1980 or 81.
Tottenham court road and Laskys (Spelling) electronic store.
They had a computer department , with PET and Apple II computers and like.
Me and my mate (we were 17 at the tiime) , used to hang about the department and play with the IT.
Even answer questions to the public at times.
Anyway ..manager chucks us out of store ...he don't like idea of two spotty youth knowing more about the IT than his staff.
Later that day ...revisit store and see a APPLE II ..running a basic program playing thr game of hangman.
So break out of prog and list Basic Code.
Change code and add some not so pleasant words and remove all other words from Data statements.
Then wait about ....
Woman walks up with son aged about 14 ...store advisor explains what a computer is and starts game off ...
The word builds letter by letter as little Joey and mum and assistant play and try to guess word ...
W _ N _ _ R .......W_N_KE_ ......man hangs and word is revealed ....
oh to see the guys face ....
