Can anyone please tell me on start up of my laptop i keep on getting message installing MTP device driver after a while message says device driver failed can you tell me what is an MTP device and why does it keep failing to install and what effect to my laptop does this make any info would be welcome

MTP is Media transfer Protocol. It's used for linking to devices such as multimedia players, mp3 players, phones etc. Do you have any devices like that? If not, you should be able to simply uninstall it. What operating system are you running?
