Two big let-downs from the beeb over the weekend.

Saturday - moved the series finale of Robin Hood to BBC2 so BBC1 could continue with coverage of Andy Murray at Wimbledon - thank God for BBC iPlayer. Why not just shift the tennis and leave the advertised programmes on the main channel where they were supposed to be. We sat down to watch the recording off the V+ box and were non-plussed when the tennis went on and on and on...

Sunday - BBC4 8pm, Status Quo at Glastonbury. Great thinks I and like minded Quo bods. Sadly, they started showing Quo's set at 7.45 before I'd tuned in. Why advertise things at set times and then disregard them? They could have just put:
7pm Glastonbury 2009 featuring Madness, Status Quo etc without stating times!!!

Arrgghh!

Rant over!

We did see it. The strange thing was that we'd recorded the previous episode as we knew, with it being a 2 parter, we'd want to see the second one ASAP after the first. We watched the first one while (we thought) we recorded the second and then got stuck in to see the second one immediately. It was only when fast forwarding the V+ box through the tennis I spotted a little red info box flash up on screen - this was them telling the tennis watchers that RH was on BBC2 at 7pm. It was never really going to be a major problem as it gets repeated on Sunday afternoon but it was looking like our plan for the double whammy was scuppered. Anyway, a little while later, I checked the iPlayer and it was there ready to watch so all's well that ends well. i think they got it on iPlayer quicjker than usual because of their meddling.

Really enjoyed it and I thought they handled the ending very well. Surprise? yes! but very good all the same.
well it brought a tear to my eye .... like u was very surprised at the outcome.

guy of gisbourne was my man, i couldnt believe what happened to him. have him now all over my laptop, so i dont forget what he looks like...

Glad u got to see it rainman its a shame its over but have started watching it from series one again.

Have to wait for Merlin to come back now for that little Saturday night 'together TV' hour that so many families enjoy.
Did you see what they did yesterday evening because of the tennis? The likes of Panorama and Crimewatch were switched literally at the last minute to BBC2.

Had you been going out for the evening and set those to record on BBC1, you'd have had tennis instead when you came to view them.
I too will miss the Gorgeous Guy! The series has a great finale. Don't suppose Merlin will be back till autumn time.
BUT Torchwood is on all next week!!
