Just watching it on the news. They had the cameras out in Northampton today. They also showed how many hazards are missed due to talking on the phone.

Now....this morning I was on the bus coming home from the school run. The bus was full to capacity both seated and standing. I was standing near the driver who took his phone out just after we left the station and was still on it 1.5 miles later where I got off.

I took the bus number.....would you report him?

No, I wasn`t on the bus
report him?
i would have told him to turn it off ffs.
yes this is a criminal offence and he is endangering life.

Driving any vehicle while on the phone is dangerous but a BUS...

Think I would report it.
Yes. Absolutely. No question. It's dangerous, illegal and NO-ONE is that important that they either have to make or take calls immediately.
Sounds a little petty, but yes.

If he'd lost concentration and crashed...

Fine if he wants to kill himself...

But I was ELVIS. Another passenger sitting behind the drivers cabin asked me if he was on the phone. I hope she reported him.

He was also driving with his knee on the dashboard...or his equivalent of.....

That's my point snagged. There must have been 70+ people on the bus. It was a personal call as well because I was listening....nosey cow eh???
Would you report him to the police or the bus company?
yes, I'd report him.
Yes report him, and tell his bosses his knee was on the dashboard as well...bloody dangerous that

He wasn't driving fast but his driving style was that of a boy racer but in a big scary bus......
You should report him! I'm sure you can do it anonymously if you're worried.

What he did was wrong, he could have crashed and killed people!
why didnt you say at the time ummm??
ummmm... you should have sidled up behind him... grabbed his hair and smashed his face into the dashboard...

''an approaching accident he wasn't aware of because he was yakking on the phone'' ;-)

You Brits seem to have a thing for reporting bad stuff.

Why do some many of you worry about whether you should report something or not?

Question Author
I'm not worried. I was a bit annoyed at the time but am not one for making a scene. It's just that the program was on the news and you realise how dangerous it can be.
if he was on the phone for 1 .5 miles

maybe he swallowed it up is botty?'

Leggy...the bus was packed with students. That would be my worst nightmare....
I'll report him for you, I get very agitated when I see someone on the road committing an offence, a girl last night was in front of me in a pink fiat with a black soft top and it had the plates MI55 NINA but the 'I' was not really a letter it was a fine line that she must have put in the alter the plate, I nearly took a photo of it with my phone in true doc spock fashion but i was driving and so would have been committing an offence if i had.
I'm not one for making a scene either but I would have confronted the driver about it.

No-one puts my life at risk!
