What do you mean make beats? drumloops?
You will need a kick, a snare and a hi-hat at least.

Assuming your pattern is broken into 8, place a kick on 1,3,5 and 7, the snare on 3 and 7, the hi -hat on 2,4,6 and 8 and there's a basic drumloop.
