Happy Birthday
Love is would guess including the whole falling in love to the break up scenario.
I would say perhaps the Vietnam War. Or certain Bible stories.
Also, there are certain characters that crop up in a lot of Blues music, off the top of my head there's "Stagger Lee", although having said that, most are cover versions.
Patti Boyd has had 4 songs written about her:

Something (George Harrison when in The Beatles)
Layla / Wonderful Tonight (Eric Clapton)
Lady D'arbanville (Cat Stevens)

Popular lady!
If you do a search for 'songs about Martin Luther King' there seems to be dozens about or dedicated to him. I admit to not recognising a lot of them but Happy Birthday by Stevie Wonder and Pride ( in the name of love ) by U2 are probably two of the best known ones.
ffs it LOVE
why not ask for one for each

person/grop

incident

event.

now i'm not sure where love fits in. event?
Love doesn't count as a person(s)/group, incident or event though.
It may be an incident in some cases though.
I agree that love has the most songs written about it, by a very long way ; but it's a feeling / emotion and so doesn't fit into any the categories asked for.
People are just offering suggestions so unbunch your panties and go and lie down with a large drink!
A. wouldn't i spill it?
B. how did you know i was wearing panties?
C. but Happy Birthday by Stevie Wonder and Pride ( in the name of love ) by U2 are probably two of the best known ones.
