There was a tune that was very popular in the late 50s and early 60s that involved a lot of what sounded like guys saying "Let's Go!!" over and over accompanied by rhythmical hand clapping and a pretty good band that had a great saxophonist and guitarist in it. I can't remember the name of the song, just the lyrics. Does anyone know the name of this song?

Tommy Steele had a number 10 hit in 1958 with Come On Let's Go. Is it that one?

Thanks for the info - "Come On Let's Go" was recorded by Ritchie Valens, that's for sure - however, the one I was thinking of has "Let's Go," repeated over and over, as its only lyric (I'd probably have trouble with that!). I should have mentioned that when I originally posted. As many times as I've heard it I've never heard the DJ mention its name.

That's a good try, but it's still not the one - the chorus was all-male, and the tune was a very simple one and repetitive - what went with the music was the chorus going clap-clap, clap-clap, clap-clap-clap-clap, clap-clap "Let's Go!" (last claps and "Let's Go!" overlapping) over and over, no other words and just the instrumentals.
