Double sharp - up a full tone (specifically, two semi-tones).
Incidentally (accidentally? - Joke for all you musicians out there...) the sign for a double flat is just two flats next to each other (a bit like bb).
I know what happens when an x is placed in front of a parrot...bad Monty Python jokes...
