There are not many proper blues singers left like him and to make a 3 stringed guitar sound like that... well pure genius!

he is ok in short measures an whole album i imagine is like listening to the same record over and over

I too first discovered him on Jools' Hootenanny, and i ended up going to see him live in Birmingham last year... he was awesome!!!!
I love the guy, but he's not a bluegrass singer.
He's proper old-time mississippi delta style, dirty electric blues. However, this band ARE bluegrass and i love them too. Check them out...
