What artist sang the song that went "Who's walking down the streets of the city, smiling at everyone that she meets" Every search for sixties music with the word Wendy in it pulls up the Beach Boys song "Wendy" - it's not the same song. Any help is appreciated!

Think this is "Windy" rather than "Wendy" by the Association - 1967/68 - not a very big hit (if at all) in Uk but big in US. Also the instrumental theme tune to theBill Grundy prog. - only know this from numerous showings of the Pistols' appearance in Dec. 1976.
