Another long shot. I recall a song containing the lyrics:
Susie's got a boy she likes, and his name is ? ?
The Chorus went: And you can bet it'll be the biggest night of her life.
Can anyone help plz?

Biggest Night of Her Life
by Randy Newman (also sung by Alan Price?)
Album: A Price On His Head. Posted by hollyh

Susie's going out tonight
To her sixteenth birthday party
Her shoes are pink, her dress is white
And she's a beautiful sight to see
And you can bet it will be
The biggest night of her life

Susie's got a boy she likes
And his name is Tom Van Fleet
Susie's parents think he's nice
Because his hair is always neat
And you can be it will be
The biggest night of his life

Two kids out dancing, having fun
Till the sun comes up
In a high-school sweater and a paper hat
What could be wrong with that?

Susie's going out tonight
To a promise she must keep
She thought about it all last night
And she was too excited to sleep
And you can bet it will be
The biggest night of her life.

Susie's going out tonight
To her sixteenth birthday party
Her shoes are pink, her dress is white
And she's a beautiful sight to see
And you can bet it will be
The biggest night of her life

And you can bet it will be
The biggest night of her life.

Thanks for that factor30 / hollyh. I've had this song in my head for more than 40 yrs. Maybe I should get out more.
Wow..spooky or what I was humming that song earlier to-day ! I've got Nashville Teens version in loft somewhere.( +didnt realise Randy Newman wrote it)
only just stumbled on this Q (okay, I know it's a year old) because I was also looking for the lyrics. I've often wondered about that rather sinister promise she must keep, though. There's a bit about it here:
