Yes, and you're gonna think I'm a real sap now, but its American Trilogy by Elvis, when the orchestra bit builds up I start welling up, i'm pathetic!

I have always loved the song "Proud to Be an American" It was around long before the Sept. 11 attacks and has always made me choke up. It is more popular since 9/11 though.
Oooo oooo and there's one called A Little Dog Cried, can't for life of me think who sings it, it's ancient, I want to say Jim Reeves? Anyway, it's a story about a stray starving dog who's befriended by Jesus, then they take Jesus away and crucify him and the dog sits crying on the hill for his friend.

Dear God, i'm filling up thinking about it!
Dance with my father again - Luther Vandross I cry every time!
Bright Eyes,
No surprises, "If I Fell" - John Lennon, and "It is finished" from Stainer's "Crucifixion"
"Gorecki" by Lamb for me, a beautiful song.

Portishead are pure brilliance full stop.
tigger my late dad was a massive Glen Miller fan and when he died,Moonlight Serenade was played as his coffin went through the curtains. :-(
But, for as many songs that make us feel sad, i have loads loads more that make me feel happy and in a funny way, that song makes me happy too at the same time as making me feel sad.
Oh im on a roll now- Eric Clapton, Tears In Heaven, and this one....

'Forever Autumn 'by Justin Hayward but it absolutely must come from the Jeff Waynes version of 'War of the Worlds' The words of this song carry masive baggage for me.
BOO- I never heard that one (little dog), but googled the lyrics and can barely see to type now. If I ever heard it sung I'd probably be on the floor crying!!!!!!
