Don't think so, I'm afraid. A bankers Draft is as good as cash.
i guess the car is 'sold as seen'
Definately 'no' :o(
Depends on whether you bought it through a retailer with warranty, or privately. Also, if the seller issued an invoice reading 'sold as seen' then there's not much you can do, unless it is a dangerous fault that they didn't inform you of (which they obviously didn't) or if the MOT is 'bent'. Why not get the car checked over by the AA. Good luck.
Headtime is spot on. Private or retail sale, you cant stop it. On a similar theme now, a common scam is to get a call to buy your car. They always have to travel a long way to get to you. They arrive after banking hours apologising for being late, with a bankers draft. Most people accept it but its phoney, so when presented the next day it cant clear. If you get a bankers draft, dont part with the car or whatever until it has been presented and cleared.
