i wouldnt get it done if i were you, my daughter, when she was 17 got her eyebrow pierced & it ended up infected & swollen & she couldnt get the earring out. it was very painful trying to get it out as well, however it came out eventually but she has a scar on her eyebrow & it is noticeable & she is now 21
Hello there honey , I don't know enough about it to give you any advice but , do they really do piercings on 13yr olds , I thought you had to be at least 16 ? :-) x

13 if you're with an adult - 16 without x
Oh , I know that ear piercing is done on children but I will be interested to see if anyone knows what age others are done :-) x
Ouch !! don't do it, aren't they a bit out dated now, I am guessing you are a girl and pretty enough without any holes in your nose.
Thankyou honey , well that does suprise me , that's my one thing I've learned today ...lol...:-) x
Oh so this is where it starts.....
You then have to leave it in for 6 weeks, but your school will probably (if they have any sense) suspend you. You (and your daft mother) will then claim it is for 'religious' reasons... it will hit the tabloids....
.... then 'low and behold' you will sue the school for several million of it's short financial supplies......for 'hurt feelings'.

Daft.

all the other girls at my school are covered in make up, they get hammerd ever night and sleep with there boyfriends! yep bit of a rough private school i go to...
but i really want this piercing, as i think its very pretty, and its original so i can shine in my own way...
Sorry if I was a bit harsh, ..... have you seen the magnetic ones available. Might be worth trying one for a couple of years until you decide for sure.

i guess, however then i'd probably get teased as being a chicken or having a tight arsed mum. most girls in my year have their navels pieced - one even has a tatoo! so you no..
I had my nose pierced at the age of 12, I never had any infections or problems with it. As long as you go to a good piercers who can provide you with a small flat nose stud, you shouldn't have any issues with it. Be prepared to have to wear a plaster ovwer it unbtil the piercing is healed enought to wear a retainer whilst at school.

I dont think its particularly original though.
Hi goddess, have you asked your school if they'll allow it? Will you have to cover it? I only ask because if you play too much with piercings, especially the nose, they can get manky and/or never really heal. If they aren't going to accept it, it may be worth waiting (I know that's just annoying advice, and that you probably really want it now, RIGHT NOW, like I did!)

If they do, and you definitely want it, by all means go for it. Piercings can be taken out if necessary, and so aren't entirely permanent. I would still say though that if you are going to be in situations where you will have to continuously take out and put in your nose piercing, that is going to do it no good!

I was finally allowed my nose pierced, after years of asking, at 16, and after the right side refused to heal, I took it out and got the left side pierced instead-that also failed! This isn't a universal experience, it's just mine-I don't think my body took too well to piercings (my ears were often a bit skanky too).

I hope you decide what's right for you, independently of other people's opinions etc.

Thank you ^^
Im not sure if you've heard of it, but a boutique called BlueBanana, they sell loads of EMO stuff and do piercings. I went with my older sis to get her tragus done, and the studio seemed pretty good and sterile - anyone know of it?

original no. however not very common in my year. and besides that im not doing it for anyone other than myself! x
I know what its like to be 13 I have a grand daughter who is 12 and it is very important at your age to be the same as your peers. Well I suppose if it is so important to you to have your nose pierced then why are you asking for advice on here. Go ahead get it done I hope all goes well for you.
Ooops, forgot to mention-in the same vein as Goodsoulette, please, please go to a reputable and CLEAN piercer. They should have hygiene certificates from local authority, and possibly a national piercing body.

Go and chat to a piercer before getting it done, they'll be able to give you the best advice! x
Dead common, they look cheap and ********.

Not to mention the bogeys that must collect on the back, yuk!!!!!!!!!!!!

what is wrong with *****1sh ??
I had mine done at Reading festival when I was 16 or 17, looking back now it was pretty stupid and I should've got it done at a reputable place but it was ok anyway, didn't get infected or anything. I did take it out about a month later though when I got really fed up of it falling out everytime I washed my face - so twice a day then :) Can't be arsed with that lark!
