When I switch the windscreen wipers onto intermediate, they will go continously for a few seconds then stop in the middle of the windscreen. If I push the lever down for the "mist" wipe, I have to hold the lever down until the blades are at the bottom of the windscreen again otherwise they stop whenever I release the lever. Would this be a fuse, the insides of the wiper control arm or the windscreen wiper motor??

it sounds like the arm has gone faulty and needs changing.
it will not be the fuse or the motor.
