Most unusual, what do you think?

Has anyone else heard alternative versions of clasic songs that were out of the ordinary?

Radio 2 have been playing a version of "Feel Good Inc" (originally by Gorillaz) recorded by Skye.
another odd cover must be Andrew Loog Oldham's orchestral version of the Rolling Stones' "The Last Time", famously sampled on The Verve's "Bitter Sweet Symphony".

for the just plain bizarre, check out The Wurzels' covers album - their version of Shaggy's "it wasn't me" is pure genius.
lol mushroom I saw them do that a couple of weeks ago down me local. Twas aces, not so sure about the striptease at the end tho.
The Wurzels have also done "You're gorgeous" "Roll with it" and other recent hits. Starturn on 45 pints is also worth a listen...
more bizarre -
ukulele orchestra of great britain - should i stay or should i go
hayseed dixie - ace of spades
also check out Paul Anka's album of "swing" covers.......

the white stripes have done an amazing version of dolly partons' jolene
Mike Flower's Pops did Wonderwall in Tony Christie sort of style. There's an orchestral version of Metallica's music. And also Metallica's version of the score from Star Wars.
Arctic monkeys did love machine which was pretty good but I'm not sure you'd call that a classic!

I was watching the last king of scotland last night and they did a scottish song (might have been the national anthem) oh bu88er... I knew what it was til I started typing! Anyway, it was very nice.
