Singles that have been released

Something nags at my memory that there is a music-industry book that is published every year that lists EVERY single EVER released in the UK
AM I correct?
If so, where can I obtain a copy?
It's because I have been trying to track down a single for about 25 years. i THINK I have the title and artist correct but an internet search shows that I probably don't as no 'hits' appear - it may even be an album track but I wanted to search the book, if it exists.

I think you may be thinking of the Music Master catalogue.I have a catalogue from 1985 in front of me here. That's less than 25 years old.

What's the artist and track ?

I use "The Guinness World Records British Hit Singles" book
it gets up dated every year i think

Great for HIT singles jaydj - but I'm presuming GSD4Me is looking for a song that wasn't a hit, as they say maybe only an album track.

As far as I'm aware, the music master catalogue only lists singles and albums currently available to retailers to sell and NOT every track released.

i had a copy of The Guinness World Records British Hit Singles in the 90's, they update it every year, if the song you are looking for was a few years old, i'm sure the local library would have a near up to date copy, mine does

Yes Mortartube, but I have a Music Master catalogue from 22 years ago, and GSD4Me is looking for a track from 25 years ago, so perhaps if they give me the title I could find a single or a track from an album still available AT THE TIME .
